Whether your pet chooses to splash in puddles or watch the rain from inside the house, it's always best to be prepared for the monsoon. Like with humans, monsoon for pets bring a host of diseases, some of which prove life-threatening if not treated promptly. Hence, whilst you cuddle up in this weather, here are a few important things to keep in mind!

De-worm & vaccinate
Monsoon plays host to both air & water-borne parasites that commonly cause diseases such as kennel cough, tick fever, fungal skin infections, inflammation of the respiratory tract, poor appetite, vomiting, fever etc. However, a quarter of these diseases can easily be prevented through timely vaccination and de-worming right before the onset of monsoon. Consult your veterinarian/veterinary hospital to keep check on which & when vaccinations are due.
